IMDB rating: 3.60 Plot: A fully automated commercial jetliner is prepared to make its maiden voyage. Without an on-flight pilot, the craft relies on satellite linking for its course. But when the plane suddenly deviates from its determined route and establishes a circular pattern over Seattle, it becomes evident that the craft has been hijacked by a disgruntled former airline employee who has hacked into the flight’s computer system from his apartment, somewhere in the United States. Now, a former discredited Navy pilot and an oddball technician must race against the clock to find where the angry employee is, and regain control of the plane before it crashes into the city. |

is there a big difference in bigger planes/smaller planes?
I have traveled once on an airplane in aug. It was with Delta, and it was on an embraer jet 145. My ears didn’t pop, it was actually quiet comfortable. Now This time I will be flying on a Mcdonnell Douglas 83 with American Airlines, and also on a Boeing 737-700 with southwest. I am wondering if there is a big difference in the cabin pressure and all over feeling of the plane."
The cabin pressure varies with the model of aircraft, but especially with the cruising altitude. The lower the cruising altitude, the smaller the change in cabin pressure, and the less stress there is on your ears.
At lower altitudes, there may be little or no change in cabin pressure, since the cabin pressurization system can take up all the slack and maintain cabin pressure at practically the same level it was at the gate. At higher altitudes, the cabin pressure gradually falls, so some ear-popping is possible.
Regional jets often fly on short trips and at lower altitudes (the shorter the trip, the lower the cruise altitude usually is). For this reason, they may not pop your ears as much as a longer trip would. It’s due more to the cruise altitude than to the type of aircraft.

Big difference? I would not say so. But there is a difference, and it is to the good. Both of those planes should be a bit more comfortable than the Embraer.
