1895 nagant revolver in 7.62cal-not in 32mag or 32hr or 32acp im wondering on the 762 round?
if this is the only gun that i have in 762 nagant ammo will it work in home denfence….. what cal is this gun like is it like a 22- 38- 9mm what im in massachsett i have a curic and relic so wood i be able to go out with my candr guns and go shoot them or do i have to just keep in my house i dont have a ltc just the candr please help me answer thanks

It will work for home defense, but it’s not the best choice. The ammo is hard to find in the stores, and I’ve never seen a hollowpoint in this round. This particular revolver is very slow to reload.

7.62 is just over .30 cal. The Nagant revolver is fairly soft shooting, less recoil than most .38 Special.
MJ | Feb 03, 2010

You can safely use 32S&W and 32 H&R Mag ammo in your gun. Many gun articles and gun magazines have written up this fact numerous times. The 32 Mag is a lot closer to the nagant ammo than 32 sw is. There are a few companies that produce a cylinder for 32acp for the nagant revolvers so you can use that ammo too. I’d rather shoot 32 mag which is the superior cartridge through the nagant than anything else.
Butch C | Feb 03, 2010

7.62mm=.30 caliber. There are aftermarket cylinders that will allow you to shoot cheap ammo in the Nagants. It was a military gun so I would say that it is sufficient for home defense.

Is "The Amityville Horror" scary?
I’ve seen a couple of scary movies Omen (1-3), Secret Window, The Shining, White Noise, Mothman Prophecies - Other then that I haven’t seen many scary movies. I don’t mind thrillers but I HATE disturbing movies. Like the ones that stick with you … especially at night o.0 BTW I haven’t seen anything like "Saw" or "Jeepers Creepers" or "Hannibal" because I’ve heard those are real disturbing. How disturbing is the Amityville horror? Should I watch it?
Thanks
The older one, 1978 I think ?
Scary? Yes- Disturbing though?
I didn’t think the omen was scary at all- Just annoying because the set was SO freakin’ dark. I’m gonna watch the sixth sense and I do have rose red. I don’t care if the movie is scary I’m just wondering if it’s gory and/or like deformed people or anything (like the mask of the guy in texas massacre

I didnt think any of the Amityville horror movies were scary, but horror movies in general dont scare me, it just depends on if you get scared easily..

If something happens unexpectedly and suddenly, it is a bolt from the blue.

If someone feels like a fish out of water, they are very uncomfortable in the situation they are in.

If something is a tough nut to crack, it is difficult to find the answer or solution. When used about a person, it means that it is difficult to get them to do or allow what you want. ‘Hard nut to crack’ is an alternative.

If something is a bed of roses, it means it’s easy to accomplish.

If somebody’s in a situation, organization, etc, where they don’t fit in and feel out of place, they are a square peg in a round hole.

If something is done in cold blood, it is done ruthlessly, without any emotion.

If someone is in your good books, you are pleased with or think highly of them at the moment.

If something happens in the twinkling of an eye, it happens very quickly.

If something is up to date it is current and updated.

Being at the prime of your life means it’s the best part.

If you are in a fix, you are in trouble.

Why should I choose religion?
NOTE: Already asked in religion, got 4 answers. Hopefully you guys will not disappoint.

If a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or Judaism God exists, please tell me why?
Now, I would like to give you some background. I am a man of reason, well educated, majoring in biochemistry and hoping to eventually get a PHD. I have pondered this question for many years, and I know it is not unique; it has, of course, been posted before. But hopefully I can express my views, and allow you to counter them.

My opinion on organized religion is that thousands of years ago, faith was created to give people peace of mind, and also organize and unite people. The earliest religions, though, emphasized a belief in nature, and basically worshipped nature, such as aboriginals and ancient primitive people. The first religion was basically Nature worshiping…or as some would call it, blasphemy.
Time passes, and cultures start believing in multiple gods, polytheism. The Egyptians, who built the towering pyramids, the Mayans with their sacrificial temples. Look at Machu Picchu, the Incans. I know a lot about the Egyptian gods and process of releasing the Ka into the underworld, and all the steps you must go through, and I am sure the Incan religion is just as different from present day religions as the Egyptians. The point is, these cultures believed in many gods before Christianity, and had civilizations that dominated their time, and were so advanced for their time, in present time, a society that was created to the same proportions as the Egyptians to the rest of the world in their era, this society would dominate.
I cannot accept that there is only one true religion. There are infinite religions, even nowadays. And it doesn’t boil down to faith. It boils down to: Does religion exist for the reasons I listed above, to organize and unite people? And does religion change to accommodate changes in society?

If either of these answers are true, which - trust me - I won’t recieve a definite answer from your answers, I just look for some help in determining answers, then I cannot answer to any religion. Who am I to say, indirectly, by becoming catholic, that all the other religions (Hinduism, Judaism, etc) are not good enough?

One more piece of information for you to contemplate: Paganism greatly influenced Christianity. I do not remember specific examples, as I took a class on Symbology my freshman year, but I am 100% confident they did modify some pagan beliefs. So are religions really different? If you believe in one, you believe in them all, but you cannot believe in them all. Does this make sense?

So my questions seem to be:
1. Does religion exist for the reasons I listed above, to organize and unite people? And does religion change to accommodate changes in society?
2. Who am I to say, indirectly, by becoming catholic, that all the other religions (Hinduism, Judaism, etc) are not good enough?
3. So are religions really different? If you believe in one, you believe in them all, but you cannot believe in them all. Does this make sense?
4. How can you choose one over another? I sort of said this through the other Q’s but answer this anyways.

Please take the time to read all of this. I cannot express how much I would appreciate this. Also, please do not rant, or tell me facts are wrong, because they are general facts, not perfect. Do not quote the bible. Don’t say I have no life, because I do. I am just curious for answers - and remember hate comments won’t be tolerated, and I will block any one who is not polite.

Thank you, and I look forward to your input. In a couple hours I’ll come back, check the comments, and respond.
Star for a lot of answers.
really? really? are people this ignorant? can’t answer a question properly?
that guy who answered the long answer is so ignorant it disgusts me. I am open to an existance of God. I believe in at least a supreme force in the universe. This "imacatholic" also has not taken the time to even learn anything at all about Satanism. Satanism could not exist without Christianity. it places nature above all else, and emphasizes spirituality. The most common form of Satanism, Levayan Satanism, acknowledges Satan is a figurehead and that what is more important is "individualism, self indulgance, and "an eye for an eye" "
I am not and will never be Satanic, but please try and learn something about your archnemesis religion.

You spent waaay to long writing

PS
your probably not going to get a lot of answers

1. Religion is used to unite people and guide people the right way and overall they shouldnt be changed for society cause religion is about worshiping god,etc and u have to follow his words

2. Its ur honest choice. I say if u dont have religion then you should be 100% sure in the religion u are in

3. Religions are different but they are all used to untie and guide people.

The Chosen One | Feb 04, 2010

You question does not seem to consider seriously that God exists. He does and because He exists religion happens.

The desire for God is written in the human heart, because each person is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw each person to himself. Your question seems to reflect this search for God.

In response to this desire, most religions are humanity sincerely reaching out for God.

In Judaism and Christianity, God is reaching out for humanity and we respond.

Religion is a set of beliefs and practices followed by those committed to the service and worship of God. The first commandment requires us to believe in God, to worship and serve him, as the first duty of the virtue of religion.

Spirituality is how one lives their religion.

1. Does religion exist for the reasons I listed above, to organize and unite people?

No, religion exists because God exists.

And does religion change to accommodate changes in society?

No, society changes to accommodate new revelations of religion. Slavery is not illegal because the Catholic Church and other religions declared that it was immoral.

2. Who am I to say, indirectly, by becoming catholic, that all the other religions (Hinduism, Judaism, etc) are not good enough?

You are a human being who can make an adult decision about your life. If you choose to be a Catholic only says that being a Catholic is good for you. You are not judging every other person in the world.

3. So are religions really different? If you believe in one, you believe in them all, but you cannot believe in them all. Does this make sense?

Yes, religions are different. People of different religions relate to God differently. People of different religions relate to other people differently. Some religions like Satanism are just evil.

4. How can you choose one over another?

Research, ask questions, visit some , and then try a few out.

With love in Christ.
imacatholic2 | Feb 04, 2010

Why should you choose religion? You should not. Unless it makes sense that is. God gave us a brain. He expects us to use it. Would He give us a religion that did not make sense? I know, you are going to mention all the ways and reasons that religion does not make sense, but consider this. When I was still young enough to think thirty was really old, a group of us played a game that we called telephone. One person started it by whispering into someone

Is it okay to buy jewelry or yourself?
I’ve always thought that it’s much more meaningful to have someone else give you jewelry as a gift, hat way when you wear it you can think of the person that gave it to you. Then again, if you buy a little something for yourself you can always hand it to someone like you kids. My Chinese friend told me that jade should only be given as a gift from someone. Obviously there’s a difference between cheap fashion jewelry and pricy things…but what do you think?

It stated out with me, my best, and this girl I like sitting on top of a hill staring at the beautiful orange sun set. We talk for a while then I turn my head, and I look at my best friend. He then denigrates in to powder (dust, sand, ect.) then I look over and she does the same. I then look behind me and I’m standing on water in the middle of the blue ocean with a clear blue sky, there I see a man wearing all black (black shoes, black jacket, black jeans, ect.) with a hood over his head (can’t see his face) also standing on water. He then reaches out his hand and wants me to grab it. I then run to grab his hand, mean while a giant wave starts behind him. Right before I can grab it, the wave plunges and sweeps me away. I can feel the strong very wet tide pushing and swirling me away. I then close my eyes then open them to find me standing in the middle of a abandon ghost city (resembles new York city or Chicago) in the middle of the night, pitch black but the buildings and cities are on, I can see TV
